Gymnastics, when you hear that word you might think that its a sport for girls or that its all about balance and flexibility. There is much more to the sport than what you might think. I have been a gymnast for abut 9 years now and it has been the journey of a lifetime. I practice 6 times a week and each practice is 3 and a half hours long. Gymnastics consists of 6 events for men and 4 for girls. I compete each of the events during competition and my favorite event is high bar. Gymnastics requires strength, endurance, and acrobatics to flip through the air or hold a strength move.
