The greatest gift I’ve ever gotten

Over the past many Christmases, I have gotten a multitude of different gifts from friends and family. Some have been very cool and some have been very weird. However it’s the thought that counts. I do however have my favorites. My favorite gift I have ever gotten was an Epiphone SG Special guitar. With most gifts, you really appreciate them for the next couple months but then your interest in them dies. I like this gift the best because I still play it and my appreciation for it has not died and it wont die for a long time. When I first got it, I was just starting out with guitar and this guitar is my first electric guitar. I have improved so much with it and I have become a very good guitarist with it.

Other perspective of my argument

The privacy we think we have when we we use our phones, search things on the computer or even ask home assistance like Alexa non evident and many hosts use your search history to sell to companies to get you to buy their products. I say that the privacy we have is unacceptable and that we need full privacy when we use the internet companies don’t have the right to access your private information for the shear fact of earning more money. Although they do this to expand their company and make it more efficient for you, the privacy of your own home and what you have online should be more respected than the expansion of already massively successful companies like amazon.

Summary of my research source

“With news of the FCC allowing ISP’s to sell browser history and other data on users, this has raised a lot of concerns about online privacy. How much privacy do we currently have?” (AlvarezTG.com) This is The main Concept of the source that I found. It also goes into detail on how much privacy we are given when we go online. I gives statistical data and examples to so called security that phones and companies say to have only to just sell you their products. Companies can even sell some private information to get other companies to sell you some products. There have been some controversy on weather phones use microphones to tap into conversations to sell more products and companies use Alexas to hear conversation and use that to sell to the house hold as well.

This was a photo from years ago with our group of friends

Mens Gymnastics is depleting

Football, basketball, baseball and other common sports have continually dominated the the market in entertainment and popularity for the past several decades. Men’s Gymnastics cant say the least. the popularity has gone down and it is not nearly as profitable to markets and colleges like it used to be. There are a total of 15 college teams for men’s gymnastics and each one requires large amounts of skill to be able to get on one. This is unfair to the many gymnasts competing to get on their teams. For common sports like football or baseball, it is much easier with much more opportunity. Men’s Gymnastics had lost it’s popularity but the difficulty and passion people have for it is still alive.

Should Students be required to stand up for the pledge?

I do feel like student should be required to stand up for the pledge each day in school. It is showing respect for the country and the people who fought for the country. People gave up their lives for the shear fact that we can walk to school safely, so we could have our rights and so that we could follow our own traditions and religions. Standing up for the pledge is the least of things we could do to respect those in battle and the country.

Last night during Gymnastics practice I finally got comfortable with a Layed out kasamatsu. This is a skill performed on the vault and it has been one that has been scaring my for the past several months. The vault consists of a round off off the vault table and then a full twist with a straight body. I have done this vault so many times to my head and I finally got the courage to do it again and again not chickening out. The vault is worth a 14.0 witch is a high valued vault at my level. a fun fact though, in the 1996 Olympics, The famous Phil Cahoy, Phil Cahoy jr. and several other gymnasts competed this vault and won the gold metal for The united states.

What could I argue a boomer with?

Many boomers like to argue that people in my generation are lazy and we have it easy. There are many things to argue against that. For one I, spend 22 and a half hours at the gym every week in gymnastics practice alone. On top of that, I have to coach at the gym to earn money for college with is three times more expensive now then it was when they went. On top of that, I have to do my homework in the little to no time that I have. I have homework in Several college level classes and I guarantee you boomers didn’t have to do AP classes like I do. If a boomer calls me of my generation lazy, then i’ll just show’em my 6 pack and ask where their six pack was when they were my age. hey claim that we sen too much time on the internet. Well I’m sorry I was born in this age of technology, and you boomers are the ones who invented phone technology in the first place.
