I don’t feel like meditation works the way people exaggerate it to be. The stresses of life will always be on your shoulders and just by sitting down and trying to shut those things out will not just make them go away or may you happier. When we meditate in class, all I want to do is just sleep and not listen to some guy with a huge accent. You could be getting something else done in that time and staying productive. A wise coach once told me, you can rest when you die.

A next level of life
If I was to trade my life with someone else each year and based on levels of life, I would work really hard to get to the next level of life when I traded it. For one, I would make sure my grades are up and that I have a good job with good pay and hours. I would take time to get extra credit in school, extra hours at work and more time to practice at the gym to stay in shape and to keep up in my gymnastics. On the flip side, I would hope to receive a next level life where I would have great grades in school, a good reputation for having good respect and care for others. I hope that people would look up to me and have respect for me as well, I hope I will be in shape and have a good job with great income with little worries for the future.
Cars with friends
One thing that I love to do with friends is go to car shows and look at and watch cars display themselves and also race against each other. Over the summer me and one of my friends went to a car show out in Iowa where a race track stood in the middle of nowhere. It was a tone of fun and the selection of cars there was crazy. There was classic cars, modified cars, sports cars and super cars. We spent the entire day there and at the end of the Day we went to panda express to top it off. One other thing, my friends dad took us to the show in his Tesla he owns and his dad even debated to display his car in the show as well. My favorite car there was a 720s Mclaren.

Quote response
“Civil war, national bankruptcy,or revelation [are] more rich in the central tones than languid years of prosperity,” (Emerson’s “The Conduct of life”). What does this quot mean? what was the intent behind it? The quote really focuses on the idea of weather or not people want to be rich or to rid of earthly issues and problems. People are very greedy and only see money as there way to happiness and yet don’t see the issue in fighting or war because they don’t have to deal with it. But to the few who see the worlds problems and deal with them, see the ridding of these earthly issues as the way to happiness. I feel like the way to happiness is the resolution to these problems and everyone living in harmony.
What would I bring into the woods with me to survive. NO technology.
If I was going into the woods alone for some apparent reason, I would bring some important things with me. First of all I would bring a Knife. I would bring a Damascus steel buoy knife for hunting and other tasks. I would bring flint and steel to start fires and cook food. I would bring a bowl to boil water to purify it and eat out of and cook out of. I would bring a warm jacket to sleep in and lastly I would bring a flare to notify any flying passerby.
How do you suck the marrow out of life?
What does it mean to suck the marrow out of life? To me, I think that it means to suck all of the bad things in life out, or to get rid of all the bad things in life and live to the fullest. For example, if you are stressed from school, work, and living up to people’s expectations, then you should let that go. You should live according to your dreams and goals in life. Yes life is full of stress, but we should overcome that and see the bigger picture. A test your stressing about is not going to ruin your dreams and future. You should also go out and explore, hang out with friends, and have fun. These things can drown out the stresses of life. But still make sure to be responsible and courteous of school, your grades and becoming stable.

Over the weekend I happened to get CPR, concussion, and AED certified. I went to the gym for a annual staff training session, and after that was CPR and first aid training. I was not sign up to do that but I had gymnastics practice right after that anyways so I stayed. The trainer said I could join them for free because I had nothing to do for the next 2 hours. During that time I got to learn CPR, and basic first aid in many different emergency situations. I got to pair up with my coach who was also taking the class. Together we got to use a practice defibrillator, a test dummy, and other medical stuff like splints and taping. We learned to splint broken bones and stop excessive bleeding.

This coming weekend is going to be the most craziest weekend ever. Starting with today, I have to go to work right after school and work till 9:30. Once I get home I can finally have dinner. The next Saturday Morning I go to the gym for gymnastics practice at 8 and I have to work at 11:30 to 3:30. Once I get home I can then finally do my pointless and truckload of homework. That Night is the Husker football game where I get to watch it with family and friends. On Sunday, I have church in the morning till 11:30 and right after that I have to go back to the gym for CPR training and annual staff training from 3 to 5. next is gymnastics practice from 5 to 8:30. Then I go to my church again to go to youth group. I finally get to go home and go to bed for another crazy and long week.

Is Violence ever justified?
Violence is the leading cause of death for people aged 15 to 44. People get beat, stolen from, accused, and discriminated. Is any of this justifiable? In some cases it is. Like is you were attacked, you have the right for self defense. But if someone steals your pencil, then you don’t have the right to hurt that person. Another example could be if someone broke into your house, you should have the right to defend your house hold, family and yourself. The robber is only their to inflict harm to you or your home, so you shouldn’t be forced to accept that and not resist.
Racism In our community
I have seen many racist things in our community today. Unfortunately racism is still a thing in our society and it needs to be stopped. Some examples include how I have gone on mission trips and seen discrimination. One person driving a truck flew a confederate flag on the back of their truck, some people still believe in confederacy. Omaha is culturally segregated and especially in school districts. Immigrants are being deported from the U.S. and even the wall that Trump is building could be racist in keeping other cultures out of our country.
